What is body filler?
Body filler adds volume and smooths contours on chosen areas of the body, such as hip dips, without surgery. The Skin Lab uses Goldfill. The areas and the amount are set after a body assessment.
Who is it for?
Adults who have lost volume, want more definition or better balance, and prefer a way without surgery. Fillers are not given during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or where there is infection in the area.
What happens in a session?
The doctor reviews your history and any past fillers, then places the filler in the planned areas. Numbing cream can be used, and many fillers contain a local anaesthetic for comfort.
What should I expect afterwards?
You usually see a change straight away. Swelling, bruising or tenderness can last a few days. Avoid pressing on the area, hard exercise, strong heat and sauna for the time your doctor advises. Contact the clinic straight away about severe pain or a change in skin colour.

Can filler be dissolved?
Many hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with hyaluronidase when it is medically appropriate. The doctor assesses each case.
How many syringes will I need?
There is no standard amount. The volume is decided after a facial assessment and depends on the area and the correction needed.
Do I pay for the consultation?
The consultation has a fee. If you go ahead with a treatment, the fee is deducted from the treatment price.
